[18:18] <Levi59> salut! ^^
[18:21] * wiiguy (~fake@unaffiliated/wiiguy) has joined #raspbian
[18:25] <ragedragon> as tu installé: libcec-dev
[18:25] <ragedragon> ?
[18:25] * tinti (~tinti@pdpc/supporter/student/tinti) has joined #raspbian
[18:27] * wiiguy (~fake@unaffiliated/wiiguy) Quit (Quit: I just broke my connection, but no worries, we can rebuild it. We have the technology.)
[18:27] <Levi59> xbian@xbian ~/xbmc-rbp $ sudo apt-get install libcec-dev [sudo] password for xbian: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done libcec-dev is already the newest version.0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and
[18:28] * tinti (~tinti@pdpc/supporter/student/tinti) Quit (Read error: Connection reset by peer)
[18:39] <ragedragon> ah ok
[18:39] * Infamous (~Ingloriou@535177EE.cm-6-2b.dynamic.ziggo.nl) Quit (Read error: Connection reset by peer)
[18:44] * tinti (~tinti@pdpc/supporter/student/tinti) has joined #raspbian
[18:45] <Levi59> retrouverais*
[18:46] * mike_t (~mike@80.234.127.24) Quit (Remote host closed the connection)

[18:48] * wiiguy (~fake@unaffiliated/wiiguy) has joined #raspbian
[18:48] <Levi59> ok

[19:12] <alexandernst_> I have made some progress with my RPi not booting. The raspbian installer ( http://archive.raspbian.org/installer/rpi_installer_08-19-12.zip ) does boot but stalls at 33% while formatting the SD card. The raspbian images won't even boot. Any ideas why is that? /cc lordievader
[19:14] <lordievader> alexandernst_: What progress have you made?
[19:15] <alexandernst_> that one
[19:15] <alexandernst_> I'm now able to boot from the installer
[19:15] <alexandernst_> as in, now I know that my RPi is ok and my SD card works (64gb SDXC class 10)
[19:16] <alexandernst_> the problem is that I can't figure out why it stalls at 33% while formatting
[19:16] <Mogwai> Uh, I'm probably missing something here .. but are you formatting the same card that you're running from? :)
[19:16] <alexandernst_> I do get some errors in "anna" about ext2/ext3/ex4 packages missing, but I'm pretty sure the download process went fine
[19:16] <alexandernst_> Mogwai: that's how the installer is doing it, yes
[19:17] <alexandernst_> Mogwai: according to official guide in raspbian.org
[19:17] <Mogwai> Oh hehe, just sounded funny .. guess it's alright then .. why people don't just image their cards I'll never understand
[19:17] <alexandernst_> Mogwai: that's a net installer, so it should be doing that, afaik
[19:17] <alexandernst_> Mogwai: I try, but the prebuild image won't boot :(
[19:18] <Mogwai> Then something else is clearly wrong .. imaging should be the least error-prone option imho
[19:19] <alexandernst_> yes, I know. The thing is that the img is downloaded fine (sum check is ok), dd process runs fine but it just won't boot
[19:19] <Mogwai> What's your OS?
[19:19] <alexandernst_> Arch x64
[19:21] <Mogwai> If you're out of options, try this script: https://github.com/abock/image-usb-stick/raw/master/image-usb-stick
[19:21] <Mogwai> Runs with "python image-usb-stick nameofimage.img"
[19:21] <alexandernst_> hmm
[19:21] <alexandernst_> what will this script do?
[19:22] <Mogwai> dd your card in a descriptive manner, while giving you a progress meter and ensures the card is synched before you remove it :)
[19:22] <alexandernst_> hmm
[19:23] <alexandernst_> but that's the same as dd && sync
[19:23] <alexandernst_> I already know how to do that :P
[19:23] <alexandernst_> I'm sure the file system created is ok as I'm able to mount it and check what's inside
[19:23] <alexandernst_> fsck doesn't complain either
[19:24] <Mogwai> Indeed, then you're most likely looking at insufficient power to the Pi
[19:24] <alexandernst_> hmmm
[19:24] <alexandernst_> :(
[19:24] <alexandernst_> I'm using my Desire HD charger
[19:24] <alexandernst_> that is
[19:25] <alexandernst_> 5V
[19:25] <alexandernst_> 1A
[19:25] <lordievader> alexandernst_: Have you measured the voltage over the two points?
[19:25] <alexandernst_> no, don't have the needed tools

[19:28] <Mogwai> alexandernst_: I guess you already tried booting without the wifi and keyboard dongle?
[19:29] <alexandernst_> yes, even thou they don't require almost energy

[19:30] <alexandernst_> maybe a charger from another phone
[19:31] <alexandernst_> but that would be another HTC or a Nokia N97
